first year uni grade results

So I got 56 out 100 and it was worth 20% of my grade, and 35 out of 100 on the other half of my assignment which was worth 80%. This was my third retake and your work gets capped at 40%. I submitted the one where I got 35 an hour after the deadline and the penalty for that is capped at 10%. So my results came out and I got 39% on my overall grade.
I now got to resit the assignment again but made improvements to the work I got 56 on but I submitted the same work I got 35 but this time submitted both on time.
Will I get a pass or still fail again for my overall grade? I have already achieved 90 credits to be able to progress to my second year but I'm concerned whether or not they will make me resit it again

Well, previously you got 39%. This time you (a) made improvements to the work I got 56 on, and (b) submitted both on time (so we're not subject to a late submission penalty).

That must surely mean that you've reached the 40% threshold for a pass. It'll be capped at 40% anyway, so the degree by which it exceeds 40% isn't really relevant.

Given what you've written, I can't see you being made to resit this again.
