Now that I've finished my education ...

I finished year 13 in May, completed my exams and I have roughly 20 days until results day. I've applied for jobs such as Tesco Seasonal, WelcomeBreak Services and Home Bargains. I was completely denied from WelcomeBreak, however with Tesco despite the jobs had already closed, and I've completed my right to work but the application still says under review, my mum did the same application and got offered the job which tells me that I've been unsuccessful however why have I not been given a response?

I know the summer job search can be tough - this was me last summer in a similar situation to you. My best suggestion would be to contact the store, probably via phone, to see if they have updates for you. It might be that they are still reviewing applications and your mum's application just so happens to be looked at first, so try not to worry about that.

In the meantime, I would still apply for other jobs so you have more applications in the mix. And hopefully Tesco will get back to you soon.
