Help on UCAT AR
Hi,
I’m really struggling with UCAT AR. The other sections for me are good compared to my AR score which is only about 5th percentile.
My main issue is timing, but also accuracy. I can’t spot the patterns easily even when using mnemonics and other techniques like birds eye view and simplest box as suggested by YouTubers like Kharma Medic who’s videos are very helpful but I’m not seeing a sudden improvement. My brain jumps to spot complicated and incorrect patterns and it’s hard to spot the easy and obvious ones.
For timing I have tried flag and review, but it really isn’t working and gives me no time to look over the questions I’ve flagged, and just increases my level of panic as I have to quickly guess then flag, and will go about 15 min overtime if I don’t stop myself. I can’t even finish in normal time I’m usually only on question 40/50 (with many incorrect answers) and the timing is all over the place.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can increase my accuracy while having time left? Any alternatives to flag and review)
