Im thinking about studying business in the future but i do not want to do mathematics A level , is choosing biology ,chemistry and business A level a good idea?
My friend does this combo..she says it's very overwhelming and oftentimes she comes to exams without any preparation.. however she manages to get Bs and Cs so it's fine..
Look at the 'entry requirements' on a range of different Uni websites. What A level subjects are required, are any others preferred? And what GCSEs are required - especially Maths.

Usually for business there aren’t strict entry requirements in terms of a level subject combinations but recommended subjects are business or economics and maths. If you dont want to take maths that should be fine as long as you aren’t aiming for a management degree or something in more related to economics. Taking business is a good idea, other than that take 2 subjects which you will enjoy and be able to get good grades in confidently- reflect in what you enjoyed, excelled at and could revise for well at gcse. Hope this helps, and would be happy to try to answer more questions if you may them. Have a great day

depending on which uni you want to go to, some require maths but thats only a small handful so have a little research about it to make sure you aren't ruling out ones you may be interested in. another thing to bear in mind is that some don't really care what alevels you did as long as u got the grades, but others want one involving some sort of mathematical skill (so chem or bio could be included in this) , one involving essays and critical analysis (so depending on exam board business might be good for this, generally id say yes it is good for it). with consideration of this its important to also pick things you think youd enjoy/find interesting because if you hate the subject itll be so much harder to get the motivation to study it
I am going to be doing a business degree soon too and no dw about maths I did chem bio and psychology for a level as long as you have basic maths skills

A business degree will require and include lots of maths - why do you not want to do maths a-level?
Math requires more practice than most other subjects and I'm overall just not a fan of finding the answer for x again and again and everything , I've heard from many people that the math required isn't very hard which u study at the uni and I've taken it already as an O level so i still have some basic understanding
Its definitely worth looking into a few unis you may be interested in and what the specific entry requirements are for business, management, marketing etc or any other course you might be interested in. Here at Bath, we look at a lot of factors when considering an application, but for business we generally like a mixture of both mathematical subjects (could include maths, any science, econ, psych) and essay-based subjects (business studies, politics, philosophy etc). Here! Have a look at what some other unis require!
I'd also say though that from having done Chemistry at A-Level but not maths, Chemistry definitely takes your maths a step up from GCSE as you'll be learning quite a few complex formulae, so if you do this then you will definitely have extended your maths skills beyond GCSE.

Thankyou so much for reaching out to me, I've looked at some unis but half of them don't accept business as an A level as they mention it as an applied subject. I've been thinking about replacing business stud. A level with Ict but i cant seem to decide if its worth it

Hello again!
I think your best bet would be to phone up or email a few of the unis you're interested in's admissions lines, and perhaps talk to your careers advisor or anyone else at school who knows the process. They'll be some of the best sources of advice here. If a unis you're particularly in do not accept business as an A level then its important to find out what they will accept so you can keep this in mind when making those choices.

Don’t worry about not doing maths, I did Law, English Lit, Sociology at A Level (low grades, ECC) and I got accepted for a Business Management with Marketing Pathway and placement year degree through clearing. Choose your favourite subjects!
