hi i did home schooling for a bit through kings interhigh which is a global online school and if you’re really serious about home schooling then i recommend looking at it bc it may help convince your mum if she knows about it etc

It was very flexible but it does involve you having to be quite independent and have good technology and it’s private as well. Although, it’s quite a big community and has been around for a few years. I did it for a few months so i could finish my GCSES and it was very helpful in that sense.

it’s flexible in the sense that the lessons are only 45 minutes each and they’re all live but also recorded so you can watch them whenever. There’s two types of lessons: learn and explore; learn is when they teach you the content and explore is when you go over it in smaller groups.

If you’re really interested then you should search it up so you can get a better idea. There are lots of subjects you can do but for me bc i was midway through year 11 i was restricted by my exam boards as to what i could do. The school is quite hands on tho in helping you settle in etc.

The school has its own social platform where you can talk to others and i find people in the Explore classes are all quite nice and friendly. In explore, you can use your mic and there’s a chat box (also independent chat box with ur teacher) whereas you can’t in Learn bc it’s a bigger class.

I joined midway through year 11 and they get lots of people joining at the start of y10/11 due to GCSE’s.I only did my GCSE’s this summer so I’m yet to get my results - but I’m predicted 6-8s. The only thing I would say to be wary off is making sure exam boards match for your subjects.
