Interview for Access to Art and Design course

Hi, can anyone tell me what to expect at an Access to Art and Design course interview please? I'm a mature student (with an Social Sciences BA Hons) wanting to retrain in art and design. I've applied for the above course in Cornwall and wonder what I may need to prepare for interview (if I get one). Any help gratefully received. Thank you. Mandy

Hey there,

I know it can feel a little daunting, especially as a mature student, but the interview is really not that scary, so please don't put too much pressure on yourself. The interview is a really good opportunity for both you and the university to get to know each other a little more, find out your style as an artist, and your interests/passions, and see what potential you have for the course. You may be requested to produce a portfolio, and it is highly likely for an art and design course. The university should have a portfolio guidance page on its website or upcoming online events that give you more information about portfolios.
