Applying for law with low grades help

Hello, I’m applying to law with 80 ucas points and the unis that I’m looking at are Leeds becket, keele, uni of Huddersfield and uclan. Are these decent unis and does anyone know if they would let me transfer to another uni to continue the course.

I would rate Keele the highest amongst that group, but opinions as to that may vary. It's probably not wise to bank on changing university part way through a degree. Try not to focus too much on the ranking of the university. Focus on getting the best grade that you can.

Hi there,

It's great to hear you're considering The University of Central Lancashire and please let me know if I can support in any way.

In terms of the University you can find out lots about us via our website www.uclan.ac.uk and via our official social media channels:
TikTok
Instagram
Youtube
Facebook
X

A few recent highlights about the uni include;

We were voted Edufuturists Uni of the Year in 2023 for our innovation and progressive approach to education

Most affordable uni in the UK (The Times, 2023)

Student community of almost 42k students across our Preston, Burnley and Westlakes Campus (we also now have a small campus in London offering a few specific courses)

Aside from statistics though, the best way to really get a feel for the University and whether it's for you is to attend an open day or visit us in person. We have an open day on Sat 18 August which you can register for here or if you're not able to visit in person our 360 tours or recent campus tour might be of interest.

In terms of transferring between courses at different universities, it usually depends on how much the course modules align to ensure you don't miss out on any core or critical learnings as part of your degree course but it is sometimes possible. If you wanted to find out more about this route I would advise calling on clearing hotline on 01772 830777 which will be the quickest way to speak to one of the team.

Wherever you decide to study, I wish you all the best with your university life, I'm sure you will have a great time at any of the uni's on your list!
