MRC-DTP Alternatives?

Looking to apply to the MRC PhD studentship this September. Are there any others in the same 1+3 format? I know the Wellcome Trust used to do it, but they're now sadly defunct.

are they all defunct??? I've been looking into 1+3 studentships too and most unis still seem to advertise them on the website T-T

I know Imperial College London have an MRC-DTP and I believe UCL has one too, but most places are still showing the Wellcome ones

yikes. guess I'll have to keep an eye out to see what happens

I looked back over my notes from when I was looking into studentships the other week and these are the MRC ones I found:

Imperial College London MultiSci MRC DTP

King's College London MRC DTP Biomedical and Translational Science MRes + PhD

University College London UCL-Birbeck MRC DTP

all the others were Wellcome ones, but there is the caveat that I've only been looking at Russell Group unis/unis that are high ranked for life sciences, so there might be others out there that I'm missing since I only had a list of 7 unis that I was looking into. certainly not much option considering how many people are gonna be applying :/
