Hi there @waite40 👋

I am sorry to hear about the position you are in. Is it Student Finance England (SFE) who your daughter has applied for a loan from? I am of the understanding that SFE have made early payments to students who have provided sufficient evidence of their financial hardship. To do this, you are required to complete a financial hardship fund form - I have added the link here for you https://media.slc.co.uk/sfe/2223/ft/sfe_financial_hardship_confirmation_form_2223_o.pdf

I hope this helps, and I wish your daughter the best of luck in university! If you struggle to fill out this form or have any other queries, then I'd recommend calling the team directly for support - number here: 0300 100 0607

Is she in receipt of any health or disability benefits?

At the very least, you could look into hardship funding that all Unis operate, get in touch with the Student Union about any finance options, see if the University offers any scholarships or bursaries she may qualify for.

You have titled your thread 'Universal Credit' but benefit entitlement for those in full tume education is very complicated. There is a Facebook group for students and universal credit.
