hi all, received my results of 2A's and 1B at adv higher and 1A at higher, after phoning school tofind out marks I have put in a priority appeal as I was 1 mark off the A boundary for advEnglish. durham have held my offer so I may possibly be accepted with these gradesdepending on A-level results day (my hopes are not high for this). my issue here is myinsurance is KCL which, after a google search, appears to start on 9th of Sept and appealswon't come out until 2nd. this feels like an impossible turnaround if it doesnt get uplifted toan A (which knowing the way sea appeals go I also have low hopes). Not necessarilylooking for someone to tell me what to do here but some different advice and paths I cango from here would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there

UCAS offers good advice in these circumstances which can be found here: https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/clearing-and-results-day/results-day/unexpected-grades/appealing-your-grades

Generally, I would say:

1.

Keep both universities updated about your appeal process. Durham might still offer you a place depending on how many places are available. Most uni and colleges will need your appeal grades by 7 September, but this may vary and your individual choice will be able to advise you on their process. So it's better to ring up KCL and ask if they'll be able to hold your offer until then

2.

You can also look at Clearing places while waiting for the appeal.

What course is this for? My search suggested the KCL teaching term starts on 25th September which presumably means freshers would be moving in 16/17th September. Would give you a bit more time at least
