Help! What degree do i do?

Im currently studying Biology, Maths and English Language at A Level and regret not taking chemistry (which I had originally planned but changed) because I didn't really know what I wanted to do in the future. Now i've come across Pharmacy and I really want to do it but Its nearly impossible as most unis don't offer foundation courses and taking out a gap year to study chem is really expensive. SO PLEASE tell me what degrees I can do with my A levels (not really fussed about english) as ive tried to research but most subjects require bio and chem together. I really want to study at a Russel Group Uni.
Id advise looking at the uni guide subject guides for ideas or look on the specific websites of unis you are considering. Also look into careers which you’d be interested in and find what degrees are needed for those.

Hi @scruffy-surprise !

You definitely have plenty of options with these A-levels. If you enjoy biology, Edge Hill offer a great Biology degree in which you can study many different topics in the field as well as undertaking lab work and going on relevant trips! In this department there are also the options to do a degree in biochemistry, plant science, genetics and more!

I hope this helped and please feel free to ask any questions! 😀

Biology, Zoology, Conservation/Environmental Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, Nursing, Teaching, Sports Science, Maths, Management, Business, Accountancy, Finance, Law, Philosophy, Anthropology, most social science degrees - and a whole heap of joint subject degrees.

If you are determined about Pharmacy, look at Foundation courses like
MPharm Pharmacy with a Foundation Year (2024 entry) | The University of Manchester
"Our course is designed for promising students without the right entry qualifications who wish to train as a pharmacist."
Pharmacy MPharm with preparatory year (brighton.ac.uk)
"this course opens up opportunities in the sciences if you don't hold the required qualifications to go straight on to the MPharm"
Etc etc.

Hope this helps
