Jealous over boyfriends female friend. Is he lying?

I've been with my boyfriend for 2 years. He's always had a girl friend who lives about 5 hours away. She has come on holiday for a month or two. And lately I've been really questioning if my bfs cheating. I've been cheated on before so maybe it's my own insecurities. But the other week he went out with them for drinks and he stayed at his. Next day he said he didn't enjoy himself because her and his male friend made fun of him and he wouldn't tell me what they said. He just said he felt sad and wished he stayed at mine. And now he's gone out again and I can't stop thinking about him. He said he was going with his male friend to watch a movie but his male friend is online so obviously not watching a movie!?

I’m sorry but I your boyfriend shouldn’t have a girl best friend. It never works out as just friends and I think he’s just taking the **** a little bit because how can he leave you to stay with her

I disagree. I think you can have opposite-sex friends. Whether her boyfriend is cheating or not is uncertain though.
The question isn't whether he's fooling around with this specific GF, it's whether you trust him or not and why.

it's hard to tell if he is, not alot of information to get her. It depends on the girl best friend and how she acts - touchy, flirty, does she diminish you etc. It also depends on whether the girl best friend was with him before you, if they know each other better - again, what is it like? friendly or more flirty? ALSO, the girl does live 5 hours away - its a big distance and takes alot of time to meet up - do you think they are meeting up a suspicious amount?
Also, why would you think he is lying with the movie? If the movie was around his house, then it would make sense he would be online. However, if they were in the cinema, It would depend what time he was on.
I think wayyy more context is needed bc you can hardly tell from this info

Your being over zelous. Having different gender friends is normal

You haven't described anything suspicious.

Just trust your gut feeling.

I think that if you can’t get out of that headspace and shake the suspicion that he’s cheating, then you might as well break up because it most probably won’t end well due to your own insecurities and the lack of communication between the two of you.
