The English and Maths requirements will still apply. From the course page (emphasis mine):

"GCSE:

A minimum of grade 6 (B) in Mathematics and grade 4 (C) in English Language in addition to other outlined requirements."

So it won’t be a grade 4 or above in gcse maths and English like in the clearing page ? If not would it still be worth applying with a grade 5?

I didn't spot GCSE requirements on their clearing pages. Could you link to where you've seen it?

Would you say I can still apply?

Well they hid that page away well!

It's unusual for a uni to drop their GCSE requirement but it does look like they've done so.

NB. You can only start the clearing process if you have yout BTEC results, otherwise you can only register your interest.

I still have not got my results waiting for it. Do you think I can still apply? Since it does not mention BTEC? Would it still be grade 4 gcse maths or above as the requirement for BTEC or since it doesn’t mention BTEC would it be the grade 6 like the normal application ?

Clearing is only for people who have their results. As you don't have your BTEC grades, you can't apply yet.

In the meantime, give them a call and explain that you've seen the GCSE requirements on that page are lowered and you're thinking of applying once your BTEC results are released. Ask them whether the same 4/4 in Eng and Maths will apply to all qualifications, or just those listed on that page.

Take the full name of whoever you speak to.

Ah ok I’ll do that, but in your experience is the 4/4 in eng and maths the same for BTEC students ?

I don't see any reason why they would be different for AL and BTEC candidates.
