sixth form bag

Hey,
for sixth form, would you recommend a backpack or a tote/hand bag?

I've always used a tote or handbag for high school so a backpack would be very new to me but people say its more practical. I'm taking biology maths and PE at a level so I don't have to carry as much stuff as I would if I were to be doing humanities for example.

I need to fit a small ring binder, a notebook, my lunch. water bottle and a pencil case ideally with other necessary things to add.

Does anyone have any advice or recommendations? I would prefer a bag instead of a backpack but I need it to be durable.

A back pack is durable and you can fit all that stuff and more inside I use a back pack

consider a messenger bag, i have one my mum bought for me about 10 years ago and is made of vinyl, carries my laptop and a lot of books when i'm going out.
