Clearing for Law at Strathclyde Uni

Hi all,

I applied last year for Law last year but decided to take a year out. I’ll list what I applied for last year:

University of Glasgow - Conditional
University of Edinburgh - Rejected
University of Strathclyde - Rejected
University of Stirling - Unconditional
Glasgow Caledonian University - Unconditional

I decided in May to apply for UCAS again, These were my choices:

University of Dundee - Unconditional
University of Stirling - Unconditional
University of Aberdeen - Unconditional
University of Strathclyde - Withdrawn
Glasgow Caledonian Uni - Withdrawn

I withdrew from my choices as I was hoping to go to Dundee but due to a change in family circumstances I can no longer move away from Glasgow. Glasgow Uni have no clearing for Scot’s law for any students but I noticed Strath has some for English, Welsh and northern Irish and International students available so I emailed them to which they told me these places could become available for Scottish students come results day.

Long post but I’m just wondering what grades people were able to secure a clearing place for the Law LLB at Strathclyde with, I don’t have the best of grades and are lucky (or unlucky) to get offers at the minimum entry requirements.

Thanks in advanced guys!

Hello,
I am gonna start studying at Strathclyde in September. When I applied my predicted grades were AAA and I got an unconditional offer, on results day I got AAB and secured a place for common Law at Strathclyde. What uni did you end up getting into?

Hi, sorry to jump in here, can I ask why you then got offered a place for common law - was the because you didn't achieve your AAA? (or did apply for common law only and not Scots law?) Just interested on why you chose common law?
