Best student bank account?

Does anyone have any recs for the best student bank account? I want one that would have an interest-free overdraft, and also overdrafts are guaranteed rather than being based on credit score/academic record etc, and one that you don't have to pay an x amount into your bank every once in a while (like santander)? so far im thinking co-op bank, hsbc

Some good advice on the above website. 0% student overdrafts are very easy to come by without a credit history - don't worry!

btw, worth noting that i do have a decent credit score but would prefer if banks have a guaranteed overdraft amount rather than being based on it

It's usually part of the T&Cs of a student account that you have to pay in a minimum amount several times a year. Usually this corresponds with your three maintenance loan instalments. Also note, that you can't apply for an account until you have a confirmed place at uni.

I have an unconditional offer + i thought this was some banks right? like i think it was santander needing £500 every 4 months, but hsbc doesn't require a minimum amount - correct me if im wrong?
