I took:

English lit - Honestly just hoping for a pass
English lang - hopefully 6 or a 7
Maths - hoping for a grade 7 or 8
Chemistry - hoping for a 9
Biology- hoping for a 9
Physics - hoping for a 9
RS - wishing for a pass
Business - aiming for a 9, an 8 will do
Geography- seeking a 9
Computer science - more than likely a 9 (my computer science teacher went through the paper and most of the questions i got correct.

If I get the grades I want / need: I will cry with joy and run around the school field

If i don't get the grades: i am going to sit in my room for the rest of the day crying my eyes out. And reconsider my options. I am relying on getting high grades to get into sixth form, so this is absolutely going to be the most emotional day of my life.

Honestly I'm just using what they said last year. Apparently, Pizza Express is giving out free garlic dough balls, and other places are giving donuts.

Hi all,

I’ve been so preoccupied thinking about GCSEs and I wish everyone the best of luck when opening the envelope.

I take:

Maths and FSMQ additional maths (A-E)
English lit and lang
Triple science
French
Spanish
Classical Greek
History

As in terms of what I think I’ll get:

My mocks: 4 9s, 3 8s, 1 7, 2 6s, C (add maths)
Worst case scenario (within reason): 2 9s, 6 8s, 2 7s, B
Expected: 5 9s, 4 8s, 1 7, A
Best case scenario: 8 9s, 2 8s, A

Mostly worried that I’ll be very close to that 9 in a lot of subjects. Hoping I get no 7s too, but I think it’ll be unavoidable in English lit. Anyways, good luck again.

These are the grades I realistically think I’m going to get, so if I get any lower I’ll just go cry in a corner 👍
Maths - 6
English lit - 6
English lang - 6/7
Religious studies - 8/9
Combined science - 99
These are all my required subjects, in terms of my choice subjects:
Art - 9
Graphic design - 8/9
French - 8
History - 8
In the end my parents just happy if I get into sixth form and I wish everyone good luck, pls don’t beat urself down, you are worth more than any grade ❤️

(That being said I’m probably gonna get my results, go home and have an existential crisis on my bed)

I'm so scared that I've failed maths , I was so close to failing at my practice exams but if I don't get a 4 I'm screwed for college
English Literature - Hoping for a 6 or above. (Predicted 7)

English Language - hoping for a 7 or above since I need it for A-level politics in my top choice for college. (Predicted 7)

Maths - Hoping for an 8 since that’s my top colleges entry requirements for me to do A-level biology and chemistry, but I think I’m more likely to get a 6/7, but fingers crossed 🤞🏻(predicted an 8)

Biology - Hoping for a 7 or above for my entry requirements. (Predicted an 8)

Chemistry’s - Hoping for a 7 or above for my entry requirements. (Predicted an 8)

Physics - A 7 or or above would be ideal, but if I got it 6 I’d get over it since I’m not taking it.

History - Ideally I need a 7 for my entry requirements for A-level History, but I’ve wanted a 9 in history since Y9, was on straight 9s throughout my mocks, and was predicted a 9, so I hope I get it!

RS - A 6 or above would be fine, but I would prefer an 8 or even a 9 cause I’m predicted a G8

Drama - Once again I’m not taking it for A-level, so a 6 or above would be fine. BUT I also got straight 9s throughout my mock, and I got a G9 and G8 in my practical exams, so I’m hoping for a G8/G9.

Spanish - I am REALLY bad at Spanish, I managed to get 7s in my last two mocks, but I’m not very confident I pulled it off for the real exams. So, as much as I’d like a 7, I’d live with a G5/G6.

Honestly, as long as I meet the entry requirements for my top college, I think I’ll be ok. If not, I will jump off a cliff. 😃
