Further maths a level

Hi I got an 8 in GCSE maths and I've just done one year of 6 form. I did maths and engineering btec but I've had a change of heart and plan to switch subjects in September. I got good in my AS mock for maths but I'm thinking of switching to biology, chemistry and maths and the question now is do I do further maths or not. I don't want to do something that I'm not good enough for but I don't know perhaps I would do really well in it. Can someone please advice.

Also will doing the 4th a A-level of further maths help me get into dentistry in UK for university

Thanks
Most universities don’t necessarily think 4 a levels are better than 3, they mostly look at the grades
Also can I ask what other subjects did you do for your first year?
In my school I believe you can’t switch subjects in the second year tho, unless you are planning on doing another year?

I did btwc engineering and a level maths. I am planning on taking a year longer because despite it being a risk I haven't enjoyed engineering at all and felt like I would hate it as a career. I've done work experience in it but not fancied it. I am doing work experience in hospital and feel like I enjoy and am more fascinated by medicine. So I'm planning on switching subjects taking a year longer, which I've been told won't stop me going to university or affect it. Then applying for medicine.
So do you think further maths is then worth doing if it isn't going to be looked at from universities..
If you’re not interested in engineering then I would say further maths is not worth doing. Further maths is usually more beneficial for engineering subjects and not really medicine. My advice would be to take 3 subjects and focus on practicing and studying for the Medicine entrance exams.

As above, gettting good grades in biology/chemistry/maths (and ucat) and not doing further maths sounds good.
