I have a question

If I used my foundation year funding, two years of uni (second year failed so transferring to different course for second year repeated and third year) will I get extra funding left since it’s a different course? I could ask SFE but the wait time is long and I need some advice!!!

Hi there,

We fund all years of a course + 1 year and then minus any previous study. How many years is your new course and how many years have you previously studied since leaving further education? Thanks, Jason

Thank you. Just to confirm, you have 3 years of previous study and your new course is 3 years in length. However, you are entering into year 2? Is all of that information correct? Also, can you please confirm the name of the course? Thanks. David

Yep that’s correct… I was thinking of applying for a CPR since I have medical records, have a therapist and a letter from the doctor stating my mental health issues. The new course will be BA in law with hons

Thank you. You can upload this evidence when you make your application and this will be reviewed and determined for you. Is it two years of evidence you are uploading? Thanks, Jason

I was diagnosed during my first year, had CBT a couple of months later then my second year was a mess and I had to take antidepressants which messed me up and I failed my second year. If I have enough evidence of my medical records, diagnosis of depression and anxiety, proof of antidepressants being approved for me and ask my therapist to write a letter… would that be enough

Thank you. The assessors will review this but ensure on the cover letter and evidence that this relates to two previous years so they can review this for the additional years. Thanks, Jason
