FCDO Next Generation Economics Competition 2024
Hi! Has anyone who has entered this competition heard back yet? I thought we were supposed to hear back by now, since they said they would email us to tell us whether we were shortlisted in late July?

Yh I emailed them on the 29th, still haven't got a response. I assume it's cos they weren't expecting such a great volume of entries, so they overpromised.

Just heard back, was told I placed within the top 25 (although not top 8 ) of around 600 essays. Very happy with this, especially considering the years before had around 200/300 entrants.

Thank you! I did question 3, "Climate change plus the impact of global conflict on international supply chains has enhanced risk on food security. What market intervention can governments across the world take to mitigate food security risk?". Should say they we all really good questions and a very tough choice to decide on which to do.
