Ucat/bmat

I've just done my GCSEs and I want to go into medicine but im really confused about UCAT and BMAT
When am I meant to apply and when do I do the exam?
And which one do I do or do i have to do both?
The UCAT and BMAT are admission tests you do before you apply, however the BMAT no longer exists. All medical schools now do the UCAT, so you’ll be sitting the UCAT. You’ll do your UCAT in your year 12 summer between june and september, so you still have till next year. The UCAT is only valid in the year in which you’re applying to uni. Hope that made sense, good luck!
you normally can book your UCAT around june in yr 12 and you can sit either or both BMAT and UCAT but BMAT is no longer being used so you can do just UCAT now
