What course are you going to be studying? Creative subjects usually require a lot more equipment than other subjects otherwise a laptop, pen and paper, and a calculator will usually suffice.
You will need some kitchen equipment to prepare food - plates, bowls, mugs, knives, forks, spoons, can opener, saucepans, sieve, tea towels, etc. Bedding (check the size of you mattress at your accommodation) - duvet and duvet cover, sheets, pillows and pillow cases. Towels. Try Ikea or your local supermarket (Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco) for a lot of these things. Your clothes and other personal effects.

I would say it depends on how you like to take your notes or do work. I do all of my work on my laptop so I make sure to always take it to campus and to lectures, as well as my laptop charger. I suggest carrying a pen with you even if you do work online just in case! Other people I know that hand write notes just bring a small pencil case with a few pens, highlighters and maybe a ruler and pencil - but this will depend on which degree you are taking - and I do recommend having a calculator just in case. Stationary wise I would say it is not much different than what you might need for A-levels.
In terms of staying on campus I like to bring a reusable thermal mug and tea bags so that I can make cups of tea to keep me going during revision - the coffee shops and library on the university of Southampton campus have free hot water stations! A bit random but I also always carry around some lip balm, hand cream and snacks for long days on campus.
A few extra random things people might forget for university: a laundry bag, an extension lead, a reusable water bottle, scissors, and photo prints of family and friends to hang up.
