I don't have my NI number yet.....

Hi, so I applied for Student Finance but I don't have an NI number yet. I'm a Portuguese Citizen and I have a settled status that I received last year so I haven't lived in the UK for 3 years to be considered as a Home Student. However I did get into my preferred University but I need financial help to pay my fees, so I applied for a loan to the Student Finance England. Currently, Im not in the UK, I plan to move in soon but I'm not able to apply for NI from my country. Will it affect my application for student finance and delay it? I have provided the rest of the details like my share code and bank details. please help me out.

Hi there,

This won't affect your application, don't worry. We'll still approve you without a National Insurance Number.

We'll still need this from you at some point. So, once you arrive in the UK you can apply for a number and then let us know once you've got one.
