Postgraduate masters loan ineligible???

Hi
I have just applied for a PG Masters loan (for an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at Nottingham Trent University). I am a British national and I have just completed my Bachelors for which I was funded by SFE. Immediately upon application I read on the system that I or the course was ineligible [STATUSNOT ELIGIBLE FOR STUDENT FINANCE]. I am completely confused by this. The only thing I can think of is that I don't have a valid passport (recently expired) but I thought it was going to tell me how to rectify identity validation at the end of the application. I am now awaiting a letter explaining my ineligibility.
Am I genuinely ineligible or is this just a quirk of the SFE application portal?
Thanks!
(Moved to the SFE subforum.)

Hi there,

Based on the information you've provided it sounds like you're eligible for funding, so the website may have automatically set you to ineligible.

Just to check, when you submitted your application was your passport expired at that time?

Thanks, Graeme

Hi Graeme,

Thanks for your reply,

Me passport is currently expired (and was expired at the time I submitted the application) but I didn't submit any passport details because after selecting the option relating to me not having a valid passport, I wasn't asked anything else relating to passport details. Perhaps, I should have not selected that option and entered in the details of my passport that has just expired but my logic at the time was that having my passport out of date meant I had no valid passport.
