how many of u guys will attend the 2024 john locke essay competition dinner / award ceremony? and for those who have attended it before, is the cost worth it ??

I got shortlisted both this year and last year. I will not be going, as 1. It is too expensive. I am based in London and I just don't really think a meal is worth over 200 pounds. 2. One of my friends went last year and the awards ceremony was effectively a load of speeches which felt a bit vacuous. If you feel like you stand a high change of winning, then it might be a good idea to go, but otherwise, I don't advise so.

They went to both. The lectures were quite interesting for them. Shortlisted certificates get sent out by the end of September.

wdym? I got shortlisted and you get the invites along with the shortlist email. It's a link, and you need to book the tickets.
