Hello there! I’m hoping to be on the 2025 course and just submitted my application this week. Still tweaking the personal statement (probably should stop tweaking and just send it!) Very excited but also terrified…. The UCAT prep has scarred me 😅

Hope it all goes well and I know what you mean about the personal statement; had to tweak mine so many times before sending it in last Friday. How did you do on the UCAT? Wasn't very happy with my score but hopefully, it all goes well. 😅

I got 2600 but the university publish the scores of successful applicants to the previous HCP-med courses on the application pages and the average last year of those who got a place was 1380 or something so I think they take a lot of other things into account first 👌🏼

That’s a great score! Are you applying to other unis as well? I had a look on the admissions stats but didn’t quite spot an average of 1380- that would be good as it means not so much emphasis is placed on the UCAT. Considering we are all presented with different questions on UCAT exam, I think there’s a bit of luck thing in there.

Congratulations!! It’s so exciting.
There’s so much to prep for! I’ve bought a book that was recommended to me and have been watching loads of videos online too. Trying to keep it all in, but I’m nightshift and we all know what nightshift brain is like 🙈

So sorry I was logged out and couldn’t get back in. I was a clinical director for a group. I have taken a few months off to determine what I want to do. 😊

No need for apologies. 🙂 That sounds really interesting. It's great that you have been able to take some time off too.
How are you feeling about the interview?
