The night before, I would say to try your best to get yourself to bed. I was really nervous before my results day and I struggled to settle to go to sleep. If you can try and wind down, and get some rest, it might help calm some nerves.
The morning of my results day, I met my friends before we went into school and we had a McDonald's breakfast. You don't have to do this exactly, but maybe you could meet with some friends beforehand so you have someone to go get your results with, or of course get some family members to come along with you.
I would also suggest having something planned to celebrate after your results. This doesn't have to be anything too extravagant if you don't want it to be, but having something like a meal, meeting up with friends, a cinema trip, a nice walk somewhere, planned before you go is a great way to celebrate all your hard work.
I'm sure your hard work will pay off on the day! Best of luck. 🙂 Emily Student Rep at BCU
Im also waiting for my GCSE results. The night before I plan to panic and get no sleep! I will probably write out some more lists of grades so I can figure out how I feel about my results when I get them (eg: these results mean you can go to your first choice sixth, they results mean you’ve done really well, these results are decent). In the morning I plan to listen to some music (AJR and the Score probably because AJR is awesome and the Score are pure motivation). My school does results early online so I’ll message my friends when I get them and then later meet them probably to collect the paper results copies. Best of luck to everyone waiting for results
