A Level Subject

What A level subject should i take as a fourth subject when i already have physics maths and chemistry and i am considering engineering as a future career? Is it even worth it to take a fourth subject like does it give me any benefit in universities like in the UK since that is where i am planning to study?

It depends on which type of engineering you intend to go into.

If you want to be open to doing bioengineering, I recommend having biology as your 4th subject.
If you want to make your application more competitive, Further Maths is a good addition.

However, without knowing which specific type of engineering (as well as the specific degree at the specific university) that you want to study, it's difficult to give any recommendations.

Physics, Maths, and Chemistry by themselves would meet the entry requirements of most engineering degrees already. Other than bioengineering, you should be more than OK.

For a fourth A-Level subject, consider choosing either Computer Science or Design and Technology to complement your existing subjects of Physics, Maths, and Chemistry. Computer Science can be highly beneficial due to the increasing role of computing in engineering, providing valuable programming skills and an understanding of computational methods. Design and Technology offers practical experience and theoretical knowledge of design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques, which are integral to many engineering fields. Both subjects can enhance your skill set and make you a more well-rounded candidate for engineering programs.

I would agree as above that this depends on the branch of engineering you would be most interested in. Recommend subjects for engineering other than those you have already decided upon are further maths, computer science and dt. However it’s important (especially with a fourth) to consider your interests and strengths.
