Failing IELTS, Liverpool, pre-sessional English course

Hi guys I’ve just done my IELTS exam and I got a 7.0 on both speaking and listening but with a 6.0 on both writing and reading, ending up with an overall grade of 6.5.

However the required grade mentioned in my conditional offer is an overall 7.0 with no sub grade lower than 6.5.

What should I do? I’m wondering if I should resit the IELTS, but I’m also concerning like even I resit it, would I get higher than 7.0 for sure????

Also alternatively, on the Uni website they said “International applicants who do not meet the minimum required standard of English language can complete one of our Pre-Sessional English courses to achieve the required level.”

So I’m also considering taking that pre sessional course later on but the university did not mention anything about the date the course starts.
I think it’s too late for even their 6 wk PSE course. You would have needed to apply by mid June at the latest.

There is a phone number at the bottom of their PSE pages if you want to check. But I would book another IELTS or accepted test ASAP.

NB. Make sure you’ll have time to receive the score report before whatever deadline you’ve been given to meet your conditions.

Thx. Perhaps o might have to resit another IELTS test asap.

I’ve just checked the date for the latest IELTS test and it’s gonna be at 17 Aug which is actually 2 days after my alevel reuslt day. Do u think it’s still acceptable as I’m afraid that the result is gonna be delivered 13 days after the test being taken

I would ask admissions at Liverpool about this. They might be able to give you a bit of leeway.
