HELP! PSYCHOLOGY BSC - Newcastle, Nottingham or Southampton.

Hey everyone!

I'm completely stumped as to which university would be best for psychology. Obviously ranking is important but I am fully aware I will be living in the city for the next 3 years of my life lol! So I'd love to hear anyone's opinions about the area or the university. I really like all of these universities equally but don't feel knowledgeable enough to know which would suit me best.

Nightlife interests me but isn't a be all end all. I grew up in a TINY village so anything is exciting to me lol.

Thank you for any help!!

So I've been to Southampton for undegrad and Nottingham for postgrad and here are my opinions. I would say as areas, they are quite similar, they have buses connecting accommodation and the city, or the city and the uni. Nottingham accommodation is closer to campus, and the campus itself is MUCH bigger than southamptons, and I would also say prettier. Nottingham also has a better sports environment if that is interesting to you. In terms of the course, they are both relatively similar as they have to do certain topics for the BPS acreditation. In my experience, I didn't enjoy southampton (if you search saskiahdlt southampton on youtube you'll see some of the negative experiences I had. None of the modules really stand out as being super good or super bad, just very generic I would say. In terms of Nottingham, I've taken a few undergrad modules and they are quite similar (for instance I did Criminological Psychology at Southampton, then Forensic and Mental Health in Nottingham and very similar content/teaching). Assessment at Nottingham was worse for me, still all online but much more rigid timings (2 hours to do 2x1000 word essays (near impossible to do)) then at southampton still online but 8 hours for 1x1500 word essay so much better. I personally think Nottingham is a nicer place/uni/city, but can't comment hugely on the course itself. https://www.youtube.com/@georgialaurenbirch this girl on youtube did undergrad psych at Notts so might have videos on it
