Clearing subject requirements?

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone could help on this...

I have heard that universities will often go below their required grades if on clearing out of urgency to fill spaces. I was therefore wondering if you could apply to a course (through clearing) which you didn't do a required subject for? More so if you called them, is there any chance they would accept in this situation...

e.g. if you did Maths, Physics, Econ but the course required Biology, could you still be offered a place on clearing.

Thanks in advance all, and good luck to all

No. If a subject is required, then it's required - even via Clearing.
As above, unis don't change essential subjects in clearing as they're more to do with your capability to complete the course. If they thought you could do without, they wouldn't have asked everyone else for it.
