Diverse - Wrexham is home to many different types of people, some students have come fresh from college or sixth form, whilst others have started uni later in life, that is the wonderful thing about starting a university at any age.
2.
Socialable - Within your first few weeks of university you have met so many different people, especially living in our Wrexham Student Village!
3.
Amazing - Student life at Wrexham University allows you as an individual to really find yourself and make the most out of your university life.

Supportive - I remember being so nervous during freshers, but the university's supportive and helpful environment made all the difference! The campus events made it so easy to make friends and meet new people. Additionally, there are also many services like the SUSU advice centre that helped me with many personal and academic queries throughout the year.

Inspiring - The academic environment at the university is very enriching. The lectures are taught by seasoned professionals that carry a wealth of experience and the assignments are designed to help us gain practical knowledge and experience. The university also offers numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth, like guest lectures from industry leaders, workshops on various skills, opportunities to work and enhance our CV!

and Fun! - There is always something happening to get involved in! From student clubs and societies to events on campus, there are plenty of ways to make friends and have a great time!

Independence - I would say I was already quite independent before university however being a student in Higher Education and especially living in student accommodation it is a different level of independence, which I have loved.
2.
Rewarding - By being a student at university I feel a sense of pride in my studies and the work I produce. Especially if I achieve a high result in my assignments, the relief and the boost of positivity is incredibly rewarding as all the hours and the consistency of working on the assignment has been worth it!
3.
Opportunistic - I have fortunately been presented with many opportunities since being a student at university, and whilst some of these opportunities are an outcome of me putting myself out there ultimately it is from being a student I was able to apply/ do it in the first place. An example being, the endless opportunities I have had to add valuable work experience and boost up my CV.

1.
Eye-opening - you meet a lot of people who are different from you from all over the world, if you're open-minded, this can really push you to challenge your perceptions.
2.
Challenging - academically and in terms of figuring life out, getting work experience and balancing finances meanwhile having the ultimate "university experience" can be a challenge, but a challenge worth doing.
3.
Lonely - Unless you spend the entirety of your university years with the first people that you meet, the university is a constant merry-go-round of people coming and going as they study abroad, take years in the industry and spend months away at home. This forces you to meet new people constantly.
