Sainsbury’s Interview

I have had my interview with Sainsbury for the trading assistant role last Monday. I asked the woman when will we receive our offers and she said next Monday. It’s now Monday and I haven’t heard anything, could it be that they are still marking it?

There wouldn't still be marking your interview performance a week later okay.

They score you for every question that you answer them, and anything you ask them at the time of your interview, therefore they would have known last Monday if you are a possible candidate for the job you applied for.

Only thing that could be delaying a answer back to you is how many interviews they were doing over last week for same job reference number you applied to and was waiting until they have completed all the interviews because making their decision.

Sometimes they get a deadline from them when you'll hear from them but it's only a estimated date.
Answer possibility is that they offered the post to someone but waiting to see if they accept the offer or not before going down the list until they get the amount of people that they wanting for the post.

If you don't hear anything from Sainsbury's in a few days time then perhaps contact them to ask what is happening in regards to your recent interview. ( Phone them)

If the store you applied to is local to you then you can consider popping in to see the manager and ask for a response regarding your interview.

By right they should notify you either way on whether you are successful or not.

Sorry I don't work with Sainsbury's but I do work for another well known supermarket as team leader and stand in supervisor as required.

Sadly, I got rejected from Sainsbury.. I don’t want to act delusional but I checked my personal account on Sainsbury that tells me about my interview and it still says under consideration. Are they just waiting to update it?

Hi thanks.

Sorry you were rejected 😕 😕 but don't give up for applying for other retailing jobs as sometimes it takes a few times to get offered a job ok.

Very confusing with you saying that you were rejected but your personal account saying that you are under consideration....? Probably Sainsbury's haven't updated there system yet but keep positive and see what happens.

Yeah, I was rejected. But I am not going to lose hope and work hard in my other interviews.

Hi

Rejection is part of life but you learn from each individual interview you do and you'll certainly get a job somewhere in retailing.

Keep positive, like you said you not going to lose hope.

Hopefully all your other interviews will be far better and you'll be offered a job.
