I don’t know if I should appeal my grades !! Help!

Okay so I took two advanced highers (English and modern studies). I was predicted a B in both, but got a C in each. Luckily I only needed a C in English to get into my firm choice of university, but I’m still pretty bummed. Would it be worth appealing my grades, or would there be a possibility of marking it down??

check how close you are to the grade boundries and then consider it. say you’re only a mark or two into the C grade boundary then it’s probably not worth remarking because it could go down. But if you’re comfortably into the C grade boundary/close to the B boundary I would as it won’t hurt your grade. Hope this helps!

Okay thank you! Is there any way to see this though? My text message gave me the grades but my SQA email literally shows none of my results

maybe get in contact with your school/college as i think you may have to request for your full marks. that’s how it works for england i think but i’m not sure about scotland, but it should be similar!
Watch this video before doing anything, SQA made it to go through the 2024 appeals process: https://youtu.be/ytIhaqlley0
As far as I'm aware, you either can call your pastoral care teachers through the school hotline to discuss whether to appeal or not (by getting further marks back) or wait till school starts and ask then

Did you check how close you were from the grade boundaries, because if it's one or 2 marks I think you can try
