Dmu resit

I've failed two exam. I passed 6 module out 8. Dmu do compensation credits worth 30 credit. Each module is worth 15 credits. To get compensation it needs to be between 30-39%. I got one 31% and one 28%. I have to do one resit, but just say I just module overall grade 30% will I get i compensated

I don't know what "I just module overall grade 30%" means. If, following the resit, that 28% reaches at least 30% you'll receive compensation for it, otherwise you won't.

As in, in one module, there was two test, which I got 40 percent and the exam I failed I got 23 out of 100 which made my overall grade 28 percent. I’m just wondering do they compensation credits for resits aswell as I still got one compensation left?

So If achieve an overall of 30 percent as my module overall grade, will I get compensation?

Correct.

You said in your original post that, "To get compensation it needs to be between 30-39%. I got one 31% and one 28%."

Sometimes universities make you resit failed modules before they apply compensation (because they'd rather you pass) but the fact that you've said "I have to do one resit" must mean that DMU don't make you do that, and have simply compensated the 15-credit module in which you achieved 31%.

They can't compensate the other 15-credit module, as you only achieved 28% and they require at least 30% for compensation.

And they always look at the whole module, for an overall percentage, rather than individual assessments within that module.

So if in my exam if I get 26 out 100 and already got 40 percent in the first assignment for the module, that will make the overall module grade to 30 percent, will I get compensation for the resit?

Are the exam and the assignment equally weighted?

Is this the same module where you said in the original post you achieved 28%? Was that the mark for the exam only, or the module as a whole?

To make it easier to understand:
Accounting standard and theory module: there are two assignments for this module.
Assignment- 40% this is worth 30% of overall grade
Exam- 23%- this is with 70% of overall grade
Combined this total 40 and 23 was 28% overall module grade.

Thank you. Then yes, I agree, if you achieve 28% for the exam this will being the module result up to 30%, making it eligible for compensation.

So how much would I need in my resit exam to be eligible for compensation out of 100 if the exam is worth 70 percent of the module and I got 40percent in my other assignment which is worth 30 percent of overall module

If I get 25 out 100 in my resit exam, my overall grade will be 30%. As this is a resit exam, they will be passed because of the compensation right or no?

If you get 25 out of 100 in the exam, then your overall module grade will be 29.5%. Hopefully, they'll round that to 30% - but they might not. It'd be safer to get 26 out of 100 in the exam. That way your overall module grade will be 30.2%, which would be eligible for compensation.
