My sqa results were SO BAD

okay so i received my higher and nat 5 results and i did higher psychology, modern studies and english and did nat 5 apps and bio, but i got ALL Ds and im genuinely so upset because i thought that some of them went so well and i didn’t expect to get all Ds.

ive literally been crying about this the whole day knowing im gonna have to retake some subjects and im so annoyed because i wanted to go to uni and do law but i guess my lawyer dreams are in the bin now

Emily first of all I hope you're okay - don't use all your tissues just yet. :cube:

Second thing, your lawyer dreams are not in the bin at all, I can help with that. :yep: First question do you have a concrete plan for next year?

well im thinking of retaking maths and taking 4 highers next year, probably will retake english modern studies, maybe another essay subject and another subject but not psychology. I submitted an appeal this morning and really hope that some of my grades were a mistake so i dont have to take so many subjects in S6

Good that that appeal has gone in. Don't rely on it, but hopefully there'll be a better outcome for you there.

Have you looked at the entry requirements for a Law degree?

And you're planning to take 4 Highers next year aren't you?
So that could be an AABB set of results this time next year, which could see you off for Law safely. Is that right?

That's your emotions talking today.
You were surprised by DDDD, hopefully the appeals will improve those scores - speak to your school about where those marks came from, perhaps they can share with you what your scores were.
If next year you don't have AABB there are still options for you - and some of those may well be law. :tsr: will still be here and we can help you with your next steps. :yep:

I’m planning on talking to them when i go back next week, I’m going to have to resit the subjects i failed but i feel stressed out as would i be at a disadvantage to unis if i resit exams and would i still have the same consideration as those who passed first time

Check Bristol, Belfast, KCL, Leeds, Manchester, Plymouth and Sheffield

Lots of dental schools don't allow resits but some do. See the above list - check their entry requirements page and see where you stand.
