Summer Internships for international masters students.

I am currently about to join into masters in London. My course has the option to choose final project or internship. But international students are not allowed to work full time during summer. So what should I be doing? Start to find internship (where university or the government will give me permission to work in UK for the summer as course contains the option of internship) or maybe find internship in another country so there will not be any conflict with the visa in UK?

During Winter and Spring vacation periods you can work full-time. Masters' students do not have Summer vacation, which means you cannot work full-time in summer unfortunately.
I'd suggest choosing what you call a final project and focus on getting the most out of your course. You haven't mentioned what degree you are about to study, but any STEM graduate will benefit from doing extracurricular activities to enhance their CV. Things like design in CAD s/w for Mech eng students, coding for CS and SW engineering, circuit design and low level coding for Elec engineering, etc.

If you intend to find work after you graduate then start looking through the gradcracker website around September-October as this is when majority of the companies start advertising the opportunities.

Thank You for your reply. I would be studying masters in AI.
University has an option for internship instead of final project hence I have received this doubt. Thanks for the clarification.
