History at Glasgow University

Looking for anyone's thoughts/experience and did anyone get into Glasgow with lower typical grades for History?

Just got higher results, AAAAB (A'S English, History, Modern Studies & Psychology/ B in Health & Food Tech)
Going into S6 studying Advance Higher History & HFT, plus Higher Geography & NAT 5 Maths (long story about Maths)

Entry requirements for 2025 show...
BBBB is the minimum requirement from S5 to be reviewed for an S6 offer - would this apply to me or not?
then goes on to say...
Typically offers will be made at AAAAA by end of S6- is this more likely to apply to me, if I got a B in advance higher History would that count as another Higher @ A , even though I already have a History higher at A.

Thinking I just need 1 more A in 6th year.

Hi, so I am in a similar “ish” predicament but long story short yes a b at AH history will count as another A as my head of year emailed and asked and that was the response given back from Glasgow

The website goes on to say "B at Advanced Higher is equivalent to A at Higher"
So I believe the answer to your question is yes

If I got an A or B in advance higher History in 6th year, would this stand beside my A in higher History, or replace it, if that makes sense.

Gut instinct says replace, but there's no harm in emailing Glasgow to check

Glasgow Uni double counts. Edinburgh uni doesn't.
So a B at Adv Higher stands along side an A at Higher in the same subject. Glasgow would view it as two A's at Higher level.
