moisturizing the body

I've never used body moisturizer or anything hydrating on my body unless its sun cream or after sun cream.
Every time I go on social media, everyone says that if you don't use body lotion - you are dirty and smelly but I don't understand why. I would understand if I didn't take a shower but I do. I take a shower everyday and use deodorant.
The only thing I do is moisturizer my face bc I have a skin routine but i don't have a body routine.
Most days I use gentle body wash and lather it up by using a loofah. Then once or twice a week, I use an exfoliating scrub and an exfoliating mitten. My skin barely ever gets irritated even when I shave so I felt like I don't need to use it. I would say my skin is more moisturizer during summer but thats because I have my legs and arms out so I wear sun cream during the day but not body lotion.

The main reason why I don't use it is that I hate the feeling of it. I feel wet and sticky and I feel dirty every time I go to bed because I can feel the bedsheet just stick on me. I don't feel clean using a lotion so I never used it. The second reason is that I've gotten compliments abt the way I smell so I never thought it was a big deal to not use body lotion because the compliments made it seem to me like I was doing stuff right. Yet when I go on social media, people will slam you for not doing it and just start spouting out insults.
I don't know whether my friends use it, mainly bc I never see anything at their house so I'm not sure if this is another silly social media expectation or everyone around me including myself is "disgusting".

there's not rlly anything wrong with not using lotion. i like to use it, but that's just a preference because ✨i like it✨, you're not disgusting for not using it, as long as you're clean.
people will slam each other on social media for literally anything- you should see buzzfeed's political articles' comments sections 💀

it literally just Moisturizer. designed to MOISTURIZE.
social media be crazy these days
if you have combination or oily skin, a water based moisturizer is your bestie esp in the summer because they don't make you sweat or stinky.
