Beloved for English Lit NEA

I am thinking about whether I could do my NEA for English Lit (AQA A) on Beloved by Toni Morrison but I need to find a pre-1900 text to compare it with. Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

Incredibly late but i would so appreciate to see some resources because i cannot find anything on beloved and dorian at all!!
