Submitted evidence but still shows INCOMPLETE

I hope this message finds you well. I recently submitted my EU24N form via post, along with the following evidence:

1.

My Biometric Residence Permit (BRP)

2.

My father's UK BRP showing his settled status

3.

My birth certificate

I logged into my application portal and noticed that my application status is "in progress." However, the portal indicates that the evidence submission is "not completed." This is puzzling since I included all required documents with my posted form.

Additionally, the portal provided me with a to-do list of documents to upload but also stated, "you cannot upload any original documents via this portal and must be submitted via post." Given that I've already sent my physical evidence with the form, should I still upload the documents listed in the to-do list on the portal?

Could you please clarify if it takes some time for the documents sent by post to appear as received on the portal? Should I be concerned about the current status, or is there a typical delay in processing posted documents?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi there, Evidence will be showing as incomplete as it goes to a different processing department to the form. Please be rest assured your account will be updated once evidence has been processed, it will also be returned to you. Keep an eye on your online account for updates. Thanks, Angela

Hi Angela, sorry for the late question but wanted to ask, approximately how long does it take for the evidence section to show ‘Completed’ on SFE? It says that I will receive an email once my evidence is received but haven’t received it yet.

Do they only start processing my application once my evidence is received or have they already started with it?

In addition, on results day if I get my insurance choice how do I go about informing SFE?

Thanks,

Kausar
Hi Kausar Khan,

Applications can take around 6 weeks, your eligibility would be confirmed with the pre assessment team after the document has been data entered onto the system. Your application would then be passed over to the EU team to finalise your entitlement for you. Just keep an eye on your account and email, as you will be directly updated from our assessors if anything further is required or you will be notified of your approved application.

Great thanks a lot! So my evidence would show as 'Incomplete' for around 6 weeks? In addition, when would I receive my evidence back? In addition, on results day if I get my insurance choice how do I go about informing SFE?
Hi Kausar Khan,

It's around 16 working days from the date ID/residency evidence is received and is generally returned the day that it is processed. Any other loose evidence you have posted would be returned approximately 9 working days after it is processed.

Thanks, Clare

Great thanks a lot!

I happened to just check my portal, and it shows that all sections are marked as 'Completed'. However, I noticed that it says they will give an update by 12th of November 2024, which is 14 working weeks and after the start of my course.

I have a few concerns:

1.

First Term Fees: Does this delay mean that I will be required to pay the fees independently?

2.

Payment Schedule: Could you clarify when SFE typically pays the instalments to universities? Will SFE cover the fees for the second and third terms, even if the first term is affected by this delay?

I appreciate your guidance on this matter and look forward to your response.

Hi Kausar Khan,

The fees are usually paid about a month after you start the course and the entitlement is for the full year regardless of when it is finalised, if it is approved after you start the course, it is backdated from the start of the academic year. As advised, ID/residency is around 16 working days at the moment. Ignore that November timescale on your account as it is incorrect, there is an error that is showing wrong timescales. Please refer to my previous reply as that is the more accurate approximate timescale.

Thanks, Clare
