Boots group Interview

Hello, I have applied for the Retail Operations Assistant (Christmas) at Boots. I have a group interview on Monday. Can anyone let me know what it means by group interview. I read someone’s comment on Indeed and they first had one to one interview and then a group activity. Could anyone also tell me what questions they were asked? So, I can prepare.

Hi there don't know if you had your interview yet for boots.

Group interview is what it says - you are in a group of about 12 people, you'll be asked individually question which you answer, then after that usually everyone gets asked questions.
Then you might be asked to do something on the shop floor as part of the interview.
Afterwards maybe more questions.

Questions varies....... Why you want to work with boots
Have you any previous retail experience ( not required usually but helpful if you have)
What days and hours are you available to work, you will unfortunately be asked to do extra days during the busiest times on the run up to Christmas.

If you do a good job while you are working with them you might be offered a personal job.

Hope everything goes well with your interview.

Hello, my interview is next Monday. I emailed asking about the group interview and she stated that I will be with 3 other people and we all will have a one to one interview then an activity to do.

Good luck with your interview.

Your activity is usually doing something on shop floor ( can be anything from - greet and meet= that is when you stand at the entrance of the store and hand out leaflets or baskets to customers)
Or you might be asked to go and find a certain item and bring it back and explain what it is and what it do.
Or perhaps you might be asked to approach a customer and ask if you can help them with things - don't panic about this one because they are only looking for your customer communication skills.

If successful with your interview you'll be offered a date when to start as well as your working hours ( they will confirm it by phone or possibility they could tell you afterwards you finish the interview) . You won't get a uniform for around four weeks as depends on how quickly the supplier sends the store order to them. Ask if they have any promotional t-shirts in the store room so you can use until you receive your uniform as otherwise you'll be wearing your own clothes.

Hello, I had my interview today and it went well. They only asked 3 questions and then an activity on the shop floor. It was just trying to find the product as fast.

Hi

Well done for getting through your interview today with boots and hopefully you'll be offered a job.

Each individual store manager has there own ways of doing there interviews and how many questions they ask people.

3 questions not to bad, yeah trying to find a product quickly ( if you were told what to look for) is fun but it does get you thinking 🤔 🤔 where's it could be about.

Good luck with awaiting your response back and hopefully it will be good news.

Good you are excited ( no reason to be nervous 💗) .

Only thing I can suggest is keep applying for other job positions with boots until you know the outcome of your interview and if successful then you just cancel any other interviews with boots asap to allow them to offer someone else a opportunity.

Normally you'll hear back from around a day after your interview but could be anything up to 10 days. It all depends on how many people they are interviewing for the same job reference number as yourself and then how many people they are employing, then obviously arranging start dates and times.

Keep your fingers crossed 🤞 🤞

Hopefully I will get accepted. They told me and the other candidates that they are accepting 30 people due to the Christmas period. I hope that I am among the 30 people chosen🤞

Hope you do get a job offer for boots as you'll thoroughly enjoy working with them.

30 people out of how many people who had interviews as well.......

Just remember that although it is only temporary Christmas position it can lead to a permanent position.

🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Hi

Sorry to hear that you were unsuccessful with your boots interview.

Don't give up in trying to get a job with boots because they will still be advertising for staff for the Christmas period over September, October, November and even December.

Just keep a eye out for upcoming posts with boots okay and remember that you will learn from this interview for your next one.

what questions did they ask?

They are not allowed to share what they were asked at there interview.

Each individual interview has different questions and things they might have to do on the shop floor.

Sorry, if I am late. They just asked me about a time where I aimed for a goal. Tell me a time you did a task without any information. Tell me a time you worked in a team.

Just had an interview, how long do they take to reply after you had the interview to let you know if you're successful or not?

It's varies for every store when they reply to you about being successful or not.

Keep a eye on your online account for updates on it.
