University of Wolverhampton MSc Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy

Hi,

I am interested in this course but I understand it is not a BACP accredited course.

There are ways to get BACP accreditation and one requirement is to get 100 hours of supervised clinical training.

So I was wondering does anyone know how many hours of clinical training we will get under this course?

If it is less, who would one top up their hours so that they become eligible?

Thank you.

Hi @hka32

Thank you for your interest in our MSc Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy course 😊.

While our course may not be directly BACP accredited, it does align closely with the BACP curriculum and teaching methods. We're actively working towards BACP accreditation and have designed the program to meet their requirements.

In relation to your query, many of our graduates have successfully obtained BACP accreditation after completing our course. The specific amount of supervised clinical training required can vary, however, the minimum hours of supervised clinical training which includes opportunities for practical experience and placement placements is 100 hours.

To ensure you meet the BACP requirements, I would recommend reaching out to the academic advisors within the Institute of Human Sciences, as they can provide you with specific guidance on how to supplement your clinical training and achieve BACP accreditation.

I hope this has helped!

Kind regards,
Taiyla 🤗
