Anyone know how GCSE Results Day works?

Anyone know how GCSE Results Day works?

Our school has instructed us to come there by a given time, and there will be our form tutors with our results in an envelope labelled with our names. We get it from them and either open them there or go back home

We get sent an email at 8am BST with our results in an attachment - I'm gonna be in Sweden then, so it's good our school doesn't do the in-person results, but a lot of ppl go into school anyways. Depends on the school ig

As far as I know, there isn't a chat for our year yet, so here's one!
Next year, I'm hopefully doing DT, Geography, Biology and Chemistry, so I can answer questions on those, but otherwise we can just chat and answer all questions that u guys put on this forum!
Please no hate or judgement, just friendly advice and support - this transition year is important and can be quite stressful when we start new schools!

Hey all
Doing math and chem next year for sure
Still stuck on whether to do business or Physics but I don't know what I want... If anyone has any advice please share
Staying in the same school and hoping for good teachers 😅

Just take whichever you prefer as a subject 🙂 if you haven’t done business before maybe watch some YouTube videos from people on their experience to get a better of it. Other thing to think about is if you need either for uni requirements if you already know what you wanna study? Hope those help to think about!
Is there anyone else who is not doing at least 1 STEM subject?
Technically l, Geography has Science in it but it is not STEM.

Thanks for that
Thing is I've done business in GCSEs and I really do like it and I also like physics and that is compulsory for engineering so I'm not sure if I don't want to do engineering.... Sorry I'm not making sense😅😂

You’re making a lot of sense! Maybe over the rest of the summer do some research into engineering to see if it’s for you: watch some related videos/documentaries, maybe do an online course, read into it a bit! If you still haven’t decided either way then take both and drop one if your school will allow

Would definitely love to recommend an online tuition named alpha academy. All of their teachers have achieved A* in their subjects at A-level, plus it's 1-1 and very cheap .

My school has put that we need to go to the exam hall in the main school building when there is no exam hall in the main building. I'm confused. I'll just follow the signs on results day.

Same. I was promised an email by the end of the week and I’ll be counting the next 3 hours and 33 minutes before I start getting upset!

Hi all, same school for me which is nice. I’m doing:
Maths and FM (OCR B)
History (OCR A)
Chemistry (Edexcel)
Economics (Edexcel)
Good luck to everyone on results day too!

Hey, I am also planning to take a subject combination similar to yours but my Sixth Form doesn't allow us to take 4 subjects I might take
maths, chemistry, physics
maths, chemistry and economics
maths econ history.
do you plan on going to uni? If so, what course do you want to do?
