Anybody else have their A-Level Textbooks?
(I had to buy them to use for school because they don't provide textbooks) Except the Human Geography textbook which school must provide because it wasn't on the list.

My history textbook has 500 pages. Just under 400 pages are needed for my studies.

Yeah I got mine. My school provide them on loan but I got my own anyways so I can write in them and stuff and don’t have to worry about keeping them neat to return. I could have to use the schools ones too if they set homework from them though I guess.

No, not yet. Our school provides them depending on the subject (biology is generally very organised, DT not so much), so I'm gonna wait until school starts. Borrowed some from the council library to read through ATM tho

How were people's results? I got straight 9s apart from English lit where I got a 5, and Lang where I got a 6

i got 9s in bio, physics, english lang and lit, media studies, food tech + histroy and 8s in maths and chem. its so much better than i expected. my grandmum passed away at the middle of the exam season so i thought i flopped most of the paper 2s as i was very shocked and empty but apparently i didnt. well done and good luck to everyone on college/sixthform

As far as I know, there isn't a chat for our year yet, so here's one!
Next year, I'm hopefully doing DT, Geography, Biology and Chemistry, so I can answer questions on those, but otherwise we can just chat and answer all questions that u guys put on this forum!
Please no hate or judgement, just friendly advice and support - this transition year is important and can be quite stressful when we start new schools!

I’m switching schools, going from comprehensive to grammar, and I’m taking chemistry, maths, physics and history. Any tips? I’m really scared

I'm looking forward to dropping English,Maths and PE.
I am also looking forward to deepening my knowledge in my chosen subjects.
Finally, I am looking forward to the disruptive and loud students not being in lessons anymore.
In September, we will also have iPads to use for school work.

I’ve made the decision not to start with 5 A-Levels and I won’t be starting with FM. I think it’s possible but I don’t want to stretch myself and then have to drop to 3 ideally.
