I WAS PREDICTED A C FOR MY RESULTS in nat 5 maths also I did a lot of revision did loads of practise always performed well in my class however I found the exam a bit DIFFICULT BUT ENDED UP GETTING A D. ( I have been crying ) I need to do higher maths for uni would it be possible to do higher maths with a d in Nat 5
My sqa results are really bad I expected to get As and Bs based off my hard work as I studied ALOT for the exams but ended up getting Bs and mostly Cs. I don’t know what to do now as I only have 1 year left in school and I need 2As and another B for my career choice. I thought the subjects I did this year I WOULDVE gotten An A in as they were easier than other but haven’t so now I’m scared to pick what. ITS ALL REALLY CONFUSING RN
I always perform very good in homework’s,test, class work but I got an C in my prelim which was shocking but I knew where I went wrong and I improved myself I STUDIED A LOT FOR MODIES I KNEW EVERY ESSAY WITH EVERY STRUCTURE turns out I got a C in the exam aswell I’m very disappointed cause I found the exam easy aswell I expected an A but WOULDVE been happy with a B aswell cause I think my assignment was good too. I’m confused wheathrr I should appeal or not cause what if the grade goes lower
You need to talk to your school about it, I am guessing you are in S4 so it is still possible for you to resit national 5 and then do higher in S6, a lot of national 5 skills carry over to higher so it's important to be confident in national 5 (quadratics, surds and indices, vectors etc)
When you go back to school you can ask your teacher how far off you were from the boundary and to appeal for you, or you can call the school office and they can tell you the mark

Hi! For any uni courses you want to apply to, check if they accept resits so you can resit the subjects you didn't do well in. if they don't, take AHs, and try to get better results in them; unis can make offers to you based on your AH grades. Try contact the courses you want to apply to and ask them these questions. Finally, don't stress to hard about your results; there are other pathways you can take to achieve whatever you want to do )
I recently got my grades back from s5 and they are not what I expected. Even if I do lots of subjects this year I won’t be able to catch up with the entry requirements for the uni course I want to do. What should I do, should I contact the uni? How or when I’m very stuck (I’ve got some good amount of experience for the course)

I’m actually now in s6 so this is my last year (I didn’t take maths in s4)

You will need to talk to your school about sitting Higher Maths, and you will need to put in a lot of work to pass. Ultimately it is up to the school whether they let you take it or not. If the school doesn't let you take it I suggest registering as a private candidate and self-teaching. Mr Thomas on YouTube is a great channel which explains all the different topics along with practice questions.
