Brilliant thank you
For the 2024 cohort, applications opened mid December last year so I’d imagine it will be around the same time this year

Applications open today.
So it says I've met the minimum required standard with 60% verbal and a measley 34% numerical... I actually thought I'd done better on the numerical! I'm hoping it's enough to get to the judgement test, seems a couple of years ago the score would have been enough but not sure about this year's!
Has anyone come across the stage 2 assessment before - 'Civil Service Styles Assessment'? I don't think I've heard of that one.

No - I’ve tried looking it up but can’t find anything. I wonder if it may be a mix of the sjt and other tests?

What did the verbal entail? And did the numerical seem like difficult maths or was it just standard numerical tests?

The verbal is just reading a section of information and then answering whether a statement is true or false from the info in the text. The numerical ive just done and was different questions ranging from percentages to compound interest to basic maths

How many questions were there and is it timed?

Did you pass both?

I've passed both but I've read they sometimes up the score so my numerical might become lower than the threshold... I hope I atleast get through the the csjt.

I did my numerical at 5am as my baby slept.. I wish Id of done it when I was more switched on and at a computer with pen and paper!!!! Hopefully they don't up the minimum standard for the numerical!!!!

Id say some standard and some more complex... I thought I'd done better on the maths than the English to be honest as I'm genuinely stronger at maths! It was 5am though so 😂

I did thankfully - i hope they don’t - I’m dreading this next test as it sounds like it’s going to be the sjt which I always find are hit and miss for me to pass 😭

Do they normally up the numerical do you know?

This is my first year of applying, I'm already a civil servant but really wanting to get on this course!

Yeah apparently they're very hit and miss!!!!

What were the more complex ones?

I'm not entirely sure which I failed on as I thought I'd gotten the majority right 😂😂 alot were logical and easy with a calculator but some I couldn't wrap my head around were I wasn't sure if it was a trick question or not, also I didn't think I did any good at finding out what X is when there are 2 other unknown values... I struggled with that. Id say I'm decent at maths but not had to do those types of equations for years so a bit out of practice! Glad to have passed but also keep thinking they're just gonna put the numerical score up 🤷
