Has anyone chosen or has done it in the past, the subject ‘In the News’ for their GCSE Art sketchbook.
I am just after some inspiration and ideas as I need to start working on it now for Year 11.

I’m not sure if themes repeat themselves in the past, but I’d start off with a mind map - be creative and link to any ideas you have!

Haven’t done this specifically but did take art gcse and we always started a project with an inspiration page. For this you could include stuff like: current affairs, newspaper studies, celebrities, campaigning, riots, politics, global affairs, climate crisis, events, maybe local history or customs. Maybe skim read a new local, national and variety newspapers to get ideas- they would also make a really good background for an inspiration page on this!
