UCAS on Results Day

Hi guys - I’m slightly confused on how UCAS works on results day. Should I be trying to log on as early as possible - say 7:30 or so - and wait? The earlier I get on will it’s ensure that I see if I get into university dot on 8 etc? Or is it that I should be trying to get on as close to 8 as possible?

UCAS will start updating from 08:00. In the past it used to be a little earlier, but it will definitely be 08:00 this year.

When will UCAS update?UCAS will go live AFTER 8am on results day. UCAS say 8am - it used to go live a little earlier, but the embargo time that UCAS and universities work to has been pushed back from 6am to 8am this year so it WILL NOT be before 8am. The embargo agreement is between UCAS, Universities and A level Exam Boards - no one is going to risk getting in trouble by releasing information early.

Don't be surprised if UCAS is slow to load on the day. Last year it took until 8:20 before my daughter could see her status.

UCAS will open at 8am - in previous years its been a bit before this.
It wont tell you your results - that comes from your school - but it will tell you if you have been accepted or not.

NOTE: clearing offers can ONLY be unconditional. If you’re awaiting results then you can express and interest/register an interest but no invitation to add a clearing choice should normally be made unless you have your results.

It will be at 8:00am. UCAS can be quite slow, as there will be a lot of students logging on to their UCAS accounts. So please don't worry if UCAS doesn't update straight away!
