Transferring postgraduate loan

Had my postgraduate loan SUSPENDED by my old university in April to allow me to have my loan to join a new university and carry over my pre existing application.

Do I need to be doing the same course title at the next university or can I change course and they transfer my PG loan in?

Tom.
Hi Tom. Yes, if you are suspended you can change the course/university to another eligible masters course. The funding however would start from where it left off, so you would not receive the full entitlement again for the new course only the payments you have remaining at the moment. Thanks, David

Hi David.

So can this be a different course title and then have to alert sfe about a change a year somehow, how would I go about doing that?

My new university also thinks the assessor could deny this, but I’ve only been suspended since April.

Can I put this in myself or do I need to wait somehow for my new uni to do it

Tom.
Hi tombowley28,

Your university would need to send a Change of Circumstances to us electronically to confirm that you have transferred to the new course/university. Our current processing timescales are approximately 5 working days with subject to change depending on our current volumes.
